Presidents Orders for the Swamp

The President has sent orders that the swamp on the On30 layout 2.0 must be filled in to make room for housing and businesses for the people that cannot provide for themselves. These will be provided at no cost to them as they do not have the funds to purchase such themselves but are deserving to have the same items that people who have worked hard to provide for themselves have. As such, the swamp must to filled in to provide firm ground for structures and buildings.

Cass is in charge of land reclamation and is doing a fine job so far by filling in 3 water crossings and realigning one un-needed curve.

We will keep you up to date on the progress of the Presidents plan, but from here on out the Swamp Layout 2.0 will now be known as the "Multi-Scale Layout".

O Scale Cat!

There was a cat offered with the layout when I got it. BUT, the last time I brought a cat home... well lets just say I have not forgetten what happened. So, I left the cat with it owner. Anyway we already have a cat that looks just about the same.

HI all, we now have an O Scale Standard Gauge RR to go with the On30 RR.

As you can see it is just a loop. But I already have straight sections that I can use to spread it out and 3 more switches to add.

Layout Theme

This layout is going to be a good bit different than it started out. It was planned by Scott Perry as a swap layout in the Okefenokee Swamp of South Georgia.
Well, that does not really work for what I have in mind. I need a display layout for my structures and details that I make.
So, as On30, Sn42 & HO all run on the same gauge track I will have three seperate sections of the layout. One for each scale. More on that later. For now you can think about that. Pat

Here is a picture of the an On30 Porter and flat car passing over a section of pillings on the layout. The layout is currently all assembled. Six sections, each 44" x 48" make up the layout.

On30 Layout

Ok guys the first order of business here will be to building an On30/Sn42/HO layout that I have on hand from the orginial builder, Scott Perry. The layout is 4x22 and I will get a picture of the space and the track plan posted later today.

For those that are wondering about On30/Sn42/HO, these all run on the same track. The buildings in different parts of the layout will be O scale, S scale or HO scale. I will talk more about this later.
